Where we're staying in GALLURA

A luxury Resort on the Northern coast

---

Located on the northern coast of Sardinia, Mangia’s Sardinia is a stunning 5-star resort. The spectacular sandy beaches, native Mediterranean plants, turquoise sea and dreamy location will help us dive right in to the beauty and intrigue of the island.

This will be our base for the first 4 days, so make yourself at home. The turquoise, crystal-clear sea reigns supreme here; an invitation to dive in and explore the seabed. The surrounding area offers the opportunity to take long walks, go horseback riding and hiking, and visit the historical sites, such as a 16th-century Aragonese tower and the archaeological complex of Lu Brandali. You can also reach the famous Valle della Luna on foot. from the property, a stunning cove at the promontory of Capo Testa.

The rooms are bright, welcoming, and furnished in a contemporary Mediterranean style, all boast stunning views.

Where we're staying in Castelsardo

A Michelin-recommended hotel on the Moutainous coast of Castelsardo

Bajaloglia Resort

Bajaloglia is a Michelin-recommended, 24-room boutique hotel, surrounded by valleys and hills, amidst Mediterranean vegetation, vineyards, and an endless sky. Your day will start from your private terrace, with uninterrupted views of the sea; the breeze carries scents of myrtle, the sea, the sun, and rockrose. Inhale- you are exactly where you're supposed to be.

In the evening, a different sunset paints the sky in shades of red, orange, and blue, casting a backlit glow upon the Doria Castle as the medieval village of Castelsardo lights up magically, bringing everything to life- a scene that feels indulgent simpy to witness.

Classic rooms offer minimalist decor and a very Sardinian approach that allows the view to take center stage. The hotel's mountaintop pool is a dream at sunset, so take in the scenery while sipping a spritz. Wander around the grounds before dinner at the hotel’s Ristorante L’Inca And that charming town you see from above? You can get there within just 10 minutes, or choose to explore the coast on your own, just a downhill stroll from the property.

Growing up in Paraguay, the Garcia household was a true gathering place. There was always music, people coming and going, empanadas on the tables, conversations shared, and more often than not, dancing until sunrise. So I suppose you could say his penchant for entertaining was inherited.

He quickly became one of those magnetic people who forge connections wherever they go. This skill was discovered and honed on soccer pitches and tennis courts, and refined as a traveling salesman when he moved to the US, peddling leather gun holsters across the states. It would be tempting to say he is a straight shooter.- with a goal in mind, he moved to NYC, learning and working in the Hampton's and some of the city's top restaurants.

This led him to not only recognize his passion for food, wine, and service, but also toward his beautiful wife Annabelle. He has been at Le Fanfare in Greenpoint since its inception, creating a close-knit yet far-reaching community that always feels welcome upon entering the signature glass doors.

Liz Norment

Growing up in Virginia, Liz always pictured her life as a small-town girl- until she boarded a plane, alone, bound for Barcelona, at the age of 19. Her immediate fear was met with exhilaration, her borders and boundaries expanded, and her love of cities and travel was born.

Moving to NYC and adopting a tenatious attitude and mostly black wardrobe led her to a successful career in fashion, which opened doors while simultaneously making her feel caged. She pivoted, deciding instead to pave her own way by working in the service industry and creating her own dream job through her company, Have Lover, Will Travel, a perfect confluence of storytelling and travel planning.

Her passion is providing opportunities for humans to connect with each other through cultural experiences and in doing so, find their place the world. She lives in Greenpoint with her cat Biscuit, who conveniently also has an all-black wardrobe.

What's included in the price?

A deposit of 50% is due at the point of purchase. The final payment is due July 18th, 2026. You will receive an invoice via email for each payment and to settle your remaining balance, two months out from travel. Deposits are refundable through 90 days prior to travel. What is your cancellation policy?

You should fly into Olbia International Airport (OLB). Private transport will be arranged from the airport to the hotel for each traveler.

As a Certified Travel Advisor, I'll help arrange flights for all travelers.

What airport should I fly into?

Yes! We'll get to know each traveler before departure and will especially ask about any dietary restrictions, allergies, mobility concerns, or special accommodations needed. Your trip will be curated to fit your specific needs.

Will this trip accommodate dietary restrictions or other health concerns?

There will be up to 16 travelers, plus Carlos and Liz as your hosts!

We'll mostly be traveling together in an 18-passenger bus, but all tours and travel will be arranged at an individual level, You'll be equipped with a custom itinerary that will include specific details for your trip, plus all selected meals and experiences.

How many people will be on the trip?

Yes! While this is a "group trip", we want you to navigate your experience the way you choose. Beyond the daily winery visits, boat tour, cooking class, and the 4 planned group lunches and dinners, you'll have the freedom to leave the hotels and explore the local area, to dive in to outdoor activities and eat any meals off-property rather than with the group. We'll have recommended activities plus a custom Google map of each area so you can explore with confidence.

You'll have the freedom to engage and indulge in this vacation the way you usually do, just with the added bonus of winery visits and group activities with amazing, like-minded travelers!

Will we have the flexibility to do things on our own during the trip?

Yes! The Le Fanfare wine tours will be exploring Italy annually. If you're interested in other trips, just reach out to Liz! We have quite a few trips already lined up for 2027, so stay tuned for those announcements!

THESE DATES DON'T WORK FOR US. WILL YOU BE PLANNING ANOTHER wine tour?

Absolutely! Liz is a Certified Travel Advisor so itinerary management is my strong suit. I'll recommend flights that will work within your schedule and budget. If your considering adding a few days on the beginning or end of the trip (maybe Sicily? Tuscany?) I'd love to help with planning that as well!

WILL YOU ASSIST US WITH TRAVEL PLANNING AND RECOMMENDED FLIGHTS?

Translation: Nope!

I don't speak Italian, is this an issue?

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Blue Zone- / ˈblu: zoʊn / noun:  A place where people are claimed to have exceptional longevity beyond the age of 100 due to a lifestyle combining physical activity, low stress, rich social interactions, a predominantly plant-based diet, and low disease incidence.

That's the text book definition. But it isn't hard to really feel and understand this phenomenon when you just dive right in. Sure, scientists can pinpoint a few specific factors that likely explain such longevity, but there isn't a way to quantify the inherent awe you experience when seeing the stunning juxtaposition of stark cliffsides meeting turquoise-blue water; the way your heart fills hearing palpable joy exchanged in a simple conversation in the piazza; the blissful ignorance toward the hours that pass as plates and moments are shared around a warm table as the sun sets over the coast.

It just makes sense when you're there and experiencing it. Something in your soul convinces your body that life will and should just last longer. Squeeze a bit more out of every moment, every day, and let's welcome the next with the pure exhileration that we get to do it all again.
